Small extension, huge transformation

This project involved the complete refurbishment, extension and interior design of a 4 bedroom detached home on Cowper Drive in Ranelagh. The clients had been living in the house for 25 any years and loved their home but wanted to reconfigure the layout to make it more open and bring it up to date. The existing layout was made up of a series of small rooms downstairs which meant the living spaces were very broken up.

The main brief was to create a more open living kitchen and dining space that connected with the garden but they wanted to maintain the cosy feel that their home currently had. On first floor our clients wanted to make better use of the space to create a master suite with dressing room and en-suite. The garden was east facing so one of the challenges was trying to maximise the light in the main living spaces.

The project involved substantial reconfiguration of both floors and an extension to the rear at ground floor. We also provided a full interior design service which included design and detailing of bespoke joinery.
