Dream home in Terenure

We were tasked with completely modernising and extending this1930’s semi detached house in Terenure. The house had beautiful original features but needed a re-think on how the layout could work for a growing family of 5.

The clients main prerogatives were to create enough space for a generous kitchen, eating, living, utility and boot room areas. as well as good connection to the garden. On the upper floors the brief was to create a spacious master bedroom with dressing room and en-suite and an additional bedroom for guests.

We wanted to create a really calm aesthetic in this home and this influenced or colour palette and choice of materials, We extended at ground floor and over the garage to create the additional space needed to accommodate the new bedrooms and living areas. We also converted the attic to create the guest bedroom with en-suite.
