Redbrick Revival in Drumcondra

We were hired as architects by clients who own this semi-detached period property in Drumcondra. The clients have two young children and wanted to retain and use as much of the existing property as possible while also creating a more open-plan space which complimented and respected the character of the building.

We worked with the owners not only on the architectural design but also on the interior fit-out of the project, selecting all flooring, bespoke joinery, kitchen design and finishes along with the “Crittall” style glazing design. We believe it is this extra step that gives our clients a much higher level of service and we are delighted that the project has been shortlisted in the Building and Architect of the Year Awards 2019 in the House Extension Refurbishment category.

The one thing that stood out to us throughout the whole process was the standard of quality that Optimise Design worked towards. The level of input and attention to detail that Leanne provided us with throughout the design, extension build, renovation and interiors was second to none.” Ruth & Colin Cashin

This project was also featured in the November/December issue of House & Home.
